Cancer Sucks

Lots of good people get bad diseases. I've known Betty Lynn literally all of my life. I grew up with her two daughters, Jenny and Christy and they are two of my closest friends. Betty has been through a lot over the years, and most recently had cancer removed out of her mouth twice. Last week, they found some more in the same place and determined that she has recurrent invasive mouth cancer. Today she got some scan results back and doesn't seem to have spread beyond her mouth. They are going to remove her bottom teeth on Tuesday and do some surgery after that to remove what's left of it. If they find that's it's worse during the surgery, they'll do some radiation, too. Hopefully that won't be the case. Betty has thwarted certain death on multiple occasions, so I don't see any reason she can't beat this mouth cancer for the third time in as many attempts. Betty whips ass for several reasons. She raised two daughters who have grown into wonderful women. She also knows every Oakridge Boys song by heart.

Keep Betty in your prayers, please.
