This is where most of my Monday and Tuesday evenings are spent. The chamber at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center. It's normally intrepid government reporter Shawn Flynn doing all of the the work, I then show up and edit a package and do a live shot. It's actually a pretty easy gig for me. Down where those cameras are is where we sit and make fun of the politicians during meetings.
It's also where Pete Kaliner speaks so loudly about the politicians with other media, that they sometimes hear him and shoot dirty looks in his general direction. Unless it's a clueless gentleman on the stage left side of the dais on Monday nights, he normally just laughs. Pete is also the best dressed reporter in Charlotte even though you'll never see him on the radio.
