More than 250 beers were available for drinking at the Charlotte Oktoberfest Saturday, and I didn't have one. I would have had several, but I was working. Sometimes I get inspired when I'm working and decide to make what would be a small story a bigger one. Beer inspired me and I turned a rare package complete with a hard news edge: How will all of these drunks get home?
I didn't think the package was all the great, but my mom said it was good. And if mom said a beer story was good, it must have really, really been good. It was over at Memorial Stadium and 5,000 people sold the place out to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. Good times.
